• Click the Privacy Shortcut Button, located to the right of your name in the Facebook toolbar
• Click “See More Settings”

• Click Edit next to “Do you want other search engines to link to your timeline?”

• Make sure that the box next to “Let other search engines link to your timeline” is unchecked

• Make sure that you click “Confirm” from the box that pops up. If you do not confirm you choice, then your changes will not save, and your profile will still show up as a result in a search engine.

However, this Privacyfix isn’t for everyone. You may want your Facebook profile to show up as a result when someone performs a search for your name (perhaps during a job search). But we think it’s important that the user is aware of, and has access to, their privacy settings as well as what is happening to their information when they use Facebook.

Remotely Reboot Your Computer Through a Web Browser with Shutter

Hi fiiends,Today I am going to share a new trick to remotely control  a system with a web interface.Today, I am going to give you a new trick to control  systems remotely by installing a free application created by Denis Kozlov called Shutter. The cool thing about Shutter is that once you’ve got it set up on your target PC, you can perform various functions on your computer through any web browser on the Internet. First, install Shutter to your target PC or server and the initial screen that comes up will look like this.

                                          

First of all, don’t worry about the settings on this screen because these are for when you use the application locally. However, your interest is in using the application as a sort of “web server” that gives you access to your PC from any browser. To set it up, click on the Options button and choose the “Web Interface” tab.

 

 

On this screen, select “Enable,” choose a “Listen IP” from the list and enter whatever port you’d like to use. Most folks just use port 80 since it’s default, however if you want added security you can use some obscure port. Finally, choose your Username and Password (required), click save and the application is set up – it’s as easy as that! The only last step is to make sure that if you’re using a router, you open up a “hole” so that you can connect to your Shutter server through the router.

To do this, just go to your router administration control panel (usually 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1, depending on your router’s brand) and configure port forwarding as shown here.

Just make sure the IP and port you defined in Shutter is defined here and that it’s enabled. Once you save, setup is complete. Now you can go to any web browser and send not only a “restart” command to your computer, but also a whole list of other commands.

To access the Shutter service, you can just type in the IP on your local network. In my case, I’d open a browser and type “192.168.1.103:1087″ to access the web interface. From an external Internet location, like a library or from work, I simply type in my external IP assigned by the ISP followed by the port, such as “65.xxx.xxx.122:1087″ and the web interface will come up after you log in with the ID and password you defined.

As you can see, the Shutter web interface lets you perform a whole list of tasks on your remote computer, including muting the volume, turning off the monitor or running a specific program. The great thing about this approach is that all of these commands are issued from the application running on your target computer, so you don’t need to perform any special security configurations to remotely trigger these commands.

Windows Phone “Mango” Versus Android and IOS

Windows Phone “Mango” was Microsoft’s way of answering the “call to duty” because of the emergence of Google’s Android and Apple’s iOS.  Mango is impressive with its elegant and luring interface.  Messaging proves easy with instant messaging and regular emails. Social networking anyone? You can upgrade your statuses and tweets on Facebook and Twitter while launching widgets in tracking significant events in your life. The Windows Phone makes the iOS appear dull, and plain in looks.

Where’s the beauty within?

Mango looks fabulous, but one must dig deeper to see if true beauty exists. The OS does not offer much in the way of amenities. The applications available are straightforward widgets that contain no potential of what Android or iOS offers.  Where is the quality and sophistication that was advertised for the Windows phone?

Office features

If you want to see a colossal disappointment with the Microsoft phone, please feel free to compare the “Documents to Go” suite, and Apple’s “iWork suite” to the “Office” on the Mango phone.  You will discover that “Office” contains no charts/tables, styles or fonts.  I found the “Office” to be a glorified “notepad”.  Office’s “PowerPoint” does allow for editing text, but you cannot add visual elements or slides. This proved frustrating and disappointing.
Where the Microsoft phone appearsattractive at first glance with the elegant interface, I find it does not have a rightful place in the mobile phone industry.  It does work with Exchange, but it only supports few Exchange Active Sync (EAS) policies.

Hyped-up launch

Microsoft has actively billed Windows Phone 7.5 “Mango” as a HUGE update to the limited original version of the Windows Phone OS that was released one year ago. I do not know what the “hype” is about because the phone has not been revolutionized, nor are the changes large enough to make a difference.
Some of the gaps of the Microsoft phone filled. One prominent example is the “Copy” and “Paste” features were added in the “NoDo” update last spring. Out of the thirteen problem holes for users in Windows Phone 7.0, the OS partially supports HTML5 but it sadly proves that it is still far-behind the Android and the iOS in that regard.  Multitasking has been added and you can thread messages together in a conversation.

Conclusion

What is genuinely new with the Window Phone 7.5, “Mango”?  I think what is new are a few widgets and no capabilities.  Now I understand why Microsoft focused so much on the “outside” of the phone, with so many flaws and lack of useful features for users to enjoy.  Summing this up, the Microsoft phone has a weak platform, much like the older version.  Is the phone pretty?  Yes it is, but that is about as far as the beauty lies.  After updating a Windows Phone 7.0 to “Mango”, I sadly could not find any deviation from the previous version of the phone with the exception of the “bells and whistles” they added to the phone.

Beware!! Deleted Images Can be Accessed on Facebook

Facebook works on Continent Distribution Network known as CDN to give quick and easy access to its users. When an image and video is uploaded then many copies of same photo or video becomes available on local servers. When a user deletes a photo or video from his account then it is deleted from the Facebook’s main server but remains available on other server for 30 months (2.5 Years) and user’s can access deleted photo and video.

Deleted photos can be simply accessed if you know URL of the image which has been deleted from the Facebook Server. To get a proof follow the following steps:-

• First of all, open Facebook image in New Tab which you want to delete.
• Copy URL of the image from address bar and paste it in Notepad.
• Now Right Click on it and select Copy Image URL and paste it in Notepad. (We will use this URL later)
• Delete the Photo.
• Now Paste the URL in the address bar which you copied in 2^nd step. You will see an error message This Content is Currently Unavailable.

• Now to Access Deleted Photo paste the URL in the address bar which you have copied in 3^rd step.

         So, if anyone knows the URL of the photo then he can  easily access your deleted photos.
